The Atelier
Empowerment through creativity & Economic Inclusion
The AMAMÉ Atelier is a mother-led social atelier and pilot social enterprise in Athens, created to support vulnerable mothers through skill development, creative expression, and economic empowerment.
The initiative responds to the specific barriers many mothers face when trying to access safe and legal employment, including language barriers, integration challenges, and caregiving responsibilities that often limit their access to stable work opportunities.
The Atelier provides a safe and flexible workspace where creativity becomes a pathway toward healing, confidence, and financial independence directly shaped by the mothers themselves.
Through textile creation, upcycling, and sustainable design, mothers can strengthen existing skills, learn new techniques, and participate in the co-creation of small production lines developed together with the community.

Our approach combines:
Skill training and peer learning (mothers training mothers)
Upcycling and sustainable fashion practices
Creative therapy through textile work
Small-scale ethical production
Mother-led decision making
Flexible participation adapted to motherhood

Sustainability & Upcycling
The Atelier promotes sustainability through the reuse and transformation of donated textiles and materials. Through upcycling practices we reduce waste while creating beautiful, meaningful products that tell stories of resilience and creativity.
This work connects environmental sustainability with social impact: supporting mothers while caring for the planet.
