Supporting vulnerable, migrant, and marginalized mothers in Athens to rebuild confidence, dignity, wellbeing, and social inclusion through community support and mother-led empowerment programs.
AMAMÉ Initiative works to ensure that every mother, regardless of origin, language, or circumstances, has access to safe motherhood and a community where she belongs.
Why Our Work Matters
Many mothers we support navigate pregnancy and early motherhood while facing poverty, displacement, trauma, language barriers, and social isolation, often without family support or access to trusted services.
Through comprehensive pregnancy follow-up and maternal health services, AMAMÉ supports mothers in moving from vulnerability toward stability and independence.
Because when a mother is supported, a child has a stronger future.

AMAMÉ was created from years of direct work with mothers and from listening carefully to their needs, experiences, and strengths.
Our programs are built around community care, peer support, and mother-led initiatives that recognise women not as beneficiaries, but as leaders and changemakers.

Our Work in Collaboration with AMURTEL Greece
AMAMÉ Initiative builds on more than a decade of humanitarian experience developed through collaboration with AMURTEL Greece. While AMAMÉ operates as an independent initiative focused on long-term empowerment and community development, this collaboration strengthens our ability to provide a continuum of care from immediate maternal support to long-term empowerment.
